Starting from Wednesday 8th till the 19th of February is the Yarra Valley Chocolateries annual Ice Cream Festival. Yummmmm!
All up there is whopping 144 different artisan ice cream flavours on offer during the festival to tantalise your tastebuds with 12 unique flavours being introduced daily.
Last year's festival included old time favourites, classic combinations as well as exotic creations such as crunchy donuts, rum & raisin, fig & fennel seed, classic banana, chocolate honeycomb & lavender, chocolate espresso shot and pink moscato sorbet just to name a few of the combinations.
Whilst this year's flavours are in the final stages of preparation, there will be more information on the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie Fb page when complete.
So far the team have created flavours such as Valley pear and blue cheese, violet saffron and yoghurt with honey and also caramelised almonds!
For anyone with food intolerances or special dietary requirements there will also be sugar, gluten and dairy free options on the menu too, so no-one misses out on the fun.
Cost: Entry to Yarra Valley Chocolaterie is FREE, ice creams cost for $4.80 for a cup or cone and they are great value!
Tasting sessions: Dedicated ice cream tasting sessions are $18pp for a 40 minuted hosted tasting of 12 different ice cream flavours in a private tasting area – pre booking essential.
