Take a trip to the hills to watch it come alive with beautiful Christmas lights. Together with Light Up Upwey, residents and friends of Upwey are going to celebrate with sparkling bright festivities.

Come over and take an evening stroll along the Main street of Upwey on Wednesday, the 14th of December. The Upwey Traders Group is putting together a fun family friendly evening.

Watch as the shops get dressed up with festive decorations and lights to make the Main Street shine. Vote for your favourite shop window decoration. All of them look amazing, it will be difficult to vote. Shop owners will be dressed up too and handing out treats, perhaps to try to entice you to vote for them. The town will feel so alive with tinsels and trees and lots of festive cheer.

Upwey Fire Brigade - CFA has started the ball rolling and contributing to Light Up Upwey by dressing up their Fire Station into a Gingerbread House. Be sure to check it out when you are there.

Listen out for the Christmas carols that evening, filling the streets with their beautiful singing. The young and young at heart can have fun taking part in the festive street hunt, where there are prizes to be won.

If we are lucky enough, Santa may take a break from his work at the north pole to make a special appearance to the hills.
