Tommee Tippee Tip-In for Miracle Babies

Saturday 17th of November
by Jemma (follow)
Tip in and help a miracle this month!

Every year in Australia, over 48,000 newborn babies require the help of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN). Of these babies, 27,000 are born premature and up to 1,000 lose their fight for life.

In honour and support of World Prematurity Day on Saturday 17th November, one of the world's leading baby accessory brands Tommee Tippee, alongside Miracle Babies Foundation is encouraging everyone to help save a little miracle by "tipping in" to raise $20,000.

Help a miracle today!

By tipping in, you can help little Miracles like Piper Gaskell. Piper was born 4 months prematurely and stayed in the NICU and hospital for six months. Now a year later and thanks to the support of the Miracle Babies Foundation, little Piper can be seen smiling, clapping, trying to walk, talking, and cheekily giving her mum Hayley head shakes when she gets into trouble.

"Piper is doing awesome, better than I expected. I thought that this year we would be in and out of the hospital, but Piper is a little trooper and is determined to let nothing get in her way" says Hayley Buhagiar.

Tommee Tippee wants to help more little ones like Piper and hopefully, with the $20,000 raised, the Miracle Babies foundation can offer an extra 300 families access to their NurtureProgram, which includes:

24-hour helpline.

Support sessions with qualified volunteers.

Out of hospital play and support groups.

Access to health professionals, such as speech pathologists, physiotherapists, family support nurses, social workers and occupational therapists.

Emergency care packs and NICU Survival Packs as a helpful tool for parents.

Vanessa Gonzalez, Marketing Manager at Tommee Tippee said: "To see little ones grow happy and healthy like Piper just cements for us at Tommee Tippee the importance of supporting organisations like The Miracle Babies Foundation. After the huge success of last year's fundraising effort, which saw over $6000 donated to the Miracle Babies Foundation, we would again like to encourage everybody to tip in this World Prematurity Day to help those who have experienced having a premature little one, through personalised support and relationships."

Whether you have experienced this first hand, know someone who has, or maybe you have been lucky enough not to go through it at all, we would like to encourage everybody to tip in this World Prematurity Day to help those suffering during what should be one of the happiest moments in their lives.

The fundraising efforts will run until the 17th of November. Lend your support and make a donation any time via the Tommee Tippee Raisley website.
