Toilet Training Question

I am after real life experience. My daughter is 3.5 years old and I been trying to toilet train last 3 months. She had a medical condition called Anorectal Malformation which she had surgery and her poo training is going to be hard our only hope to avoid further surgery is to pee train her and see if that makes her feel to go while she pee( she has less muscle control around her anus ) in order to do avoid further surgery I have to give a go and see before we decide further surgery. She is completely dry at night and nappy free during day, she wears toilet train undies. She goes to the toilet if i ask her to go otherwise she does it i her under pants, she is quite vocal and know how to express herself few times she told me she wants to go to toilet that's it. I tried sticker system, rewards, praising. I am not getting anywhere, I feel like I am walking around circle. Do I just stop asking her to go?How did everyone did it? .
