A playground with a "secret garden" in Ferntree Gully
This playspace is definitely one of the best around for littlies, but there's also enough to keep the older kids entertained for a while too!
It's super cute with its fairy-tale theme. There's the giant dragon (above), a castle, fairy garden, a drawbridge and a moat. Play equipment includes 3 slides located side by side, swings, a net swing, a Liberty swing, two large flying foxes, a sand pit, a balance board, cubbies and more.

Dotted throughout the playground are these Auslan signs. I've never seen them in playgrounds before, but I really like the idea and think it would be wonderful if they were incorporated into more public spaces.
There are lots of nice little places to sit and watch the children inside the fenced playspace. One of the things that really impressed me was how neat, clean and safe this playground is. Though, when it's busy you will need to be on the lookout for your littlies around the swings, flying foxes and anywhere else the bigger kids could accidentally knock them over.
Outside of the fenced playground is a wonderful picnic and BBQ area. This was especially popular on the day we visited with birthday parties. There is also a lake with ducks, walking paths, and even a secret garden!
