You can help clean up Melbourne's beaches with The Bucket Project Australia

Good families of Melbourne, there is a new community-led initiative that has recently "kicked" off and it is one we can all get behind.

The Bucket Project Australia asks families in Melbourne and beyond to clean your local beach, one bucket at a time.

You and your family are invited to a Photography for Parents Workshop on Sunday 28th April 2019 at Fitzroy Gardens.
Do you want to learn how to knit? Or have recently started and would like to meet some new friends to share your creativity with, all while having a good chat? Melbourne Knitting Club has classes starting in January 2019.
The project is simple. Take a bucket down to the beach on your next visit, and fill it with trash.

Although Australian beaches might appear clean on first impression, you'll be surprised at the rubbish you will find when you fill your pail.

Obviously this is a project you must work on with your children close by, because you need to make sure the rubbish they collect is not going to hurt their little fingers. Gloves might be an option!

Otherwise, grab your bucket and off you go. Collect trash from Melbourne's much loved beaches and save plastics and other nasties from polluting Port Phillip Bay.
