The world’s favourite fairytale, Sleeping Beauty, returns to Melbourne by popular demand after a 2018 sell out season!

Sleeping Beauty is brought to life by over 100 talented dancers from the Australian National Youth Ballet and featuring international guest artists.

The classic story of a sleeping princess, a handsome prince, and the triumph of ‘true loves kiss’ will sweep you off your feet. This is a delightful and affordable way to entertain the whole family!



Sleeping Beauty is a lavish production brought to you by The Australian National Youth Ballet on October 4 and 5 at The National Theatre.

The production boasts an array of grandeur through its spectacular sets, captivating choreography and exquisite costumes.

The Sleeping Beauty highlights world-class guest artists and young dancers virtuosity, casting a spell over a fairy tale ballet of romance and wonder, set to Tchaikovskys glorious score.

Performing the role of Princess Aurora is Evgenia Obraztsova, Principal Dancer with Bolshoi & Mariinsky Ballet, along with Istvan Simon, Principal Dancer with Dortmund & Kremlin Ballet as the handsome Prince Desiree.

A performance that overflows with all things ballet, you cannot help but be swept up by the grandeur and beauty of the Australian National Youth Ballet’s production of The Sleeping Beauty!
