Yering Station Farmers Market

by Lorraine A (follow)
Yering Station in the Yarra Valley is arguably the most stunning location to host a farmers market anywhere in Victoria.

Whilst this market is one of Victoria's original and oldest farmer's markets, with its inception in 1999, this was the first time I ventured through the front gates of Yering one word "WOW!"

From the manicured lawns, landscaped gardens, water feature, architecturally designed restaurant that overlooks the valley and the sculptures dotted throughout grounds, it really is a pretty spectacular place to visit!

The market itself is rather small with only around 30 stalls in total, but the quality and variety of the produce for sale was very good. We found fresh berries, free range eggs, an impressive selection of jams, preserves and sauces, organic bread, honey, olives, paella, juices, olive oils, sweet treats, chocolates, fresh flowers, coffee, pasta, meats and more!

For the kids there was a jumping castle, face painting and a craft/painting activity that was available for a cost on the day that we visited.

The majority of the market stalls were set up inside the historic barn, making it perfect for all weather conditions!

The Yering Station farmers market is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9am-2pm. Entry and car parking is free.
