This isn't your regular photography workshop – instead, it's a relaxed picnic style class in the beautiful outdoors so you can learn while the kids play. Come along with your picnic lunch and blanket, and enjoy an afternoon meeting other parents while learning new photography skills. It's the perfect set-up to practice those natural family photography shots.

Whether you want family photos for your own personal collection to look back on, or you would like to improve your Instagram game, learning how to take quality photos is an essential skill for the long-haul.

During this 2-hour workshop (short enough to keep every member of the family entertained), photographer Kate Sheffield will take you through the basics, including:

Where to find important settings on your smartphone or camera.

Taking action shots.

How to compose an image considering framing and viewpoint.

Capturing expressions.

Working with light and shade.

Using the right settings for different situations.

Using props and backgrounds.

By the end of the workshop, not only will you confidently know how to take better photos of your kids, but you'll also come away with some great shots from the day that you can share immediately.

The cost is just $100 per family. Each family is limited to 2 adults and up to 3 children (or just Mum & bub is fine!).
