Own a Smallprint Keepsake Jewellery franchise

by Kim (follow)
If you are looking for a creative, flexible, work-around-the-family job, Smallprint Melbourne Inner South East & Bayside could be the local business opportunity for you.

If you want to be your own boss, enjoy the benefits of working flexible hours, and run a successful business, read on to find out more about owning a local Smallprint Keepsake Jewellery business.

Smallprint specialises in hand crafting sterling silver keepsake jewellery which captures loved ones fingerprints, hand or foot prints, handwriting, drawings, names and initials.

Smallprint Keepsake Jewellery

As a brand, Smallprint was founded in the UK back in 2004 and is now in over 20 countries with over 100 franchisees globally (nearly all of whom are Mums, working around their families). The decision to franchise came when the founder, Maija Pykett, simply couldn’t keep up with the demand, so franchising seemed the logical next step.

Memory Treasures was introduced in 2013 to focus specifically on support for the bereaved with hand-crafted, sterling silver keepsakes capturing the prints of their loved ones.

The Smallprint Range

The Smallprint range includes charms, pendants, cufflinks, earrings and key rings across the following ranges, Fingerprints, High Fives & Little Kickers (hand and foot prints), Mini Masters (drawings), Love Letters (handwriting) & Scribes (names). Smallprint also capture heartbeats and, typed messages, initials, dates and more.

They have an extensive range of shapes and sizes as well as variety of chains, bracelets, earring hooks and leathers to create special pieces of keepsake jewellery.

The franchise and structure package

The Australian & New Zealand network is managed by Ian Peebles who is the Master Franchisee for the region, supported by the Franchisors Maija & Oliver Pykett (UK).

The basis of the Smallprint franchise model is an exclusive territory of sufficient size for the franchisee to earn a full time income.

The Inner South East & Bayside territory (see map below) is quite substantial and has a population of approximately 725,000 people and could potentially be split into 2 separate territories. It is highly preferable for the Smallprint jeweller to live within their territory.

The pandemic is hitting everyone, and people are finding it hard to manage the work life balance.
