Lite n' Easy - does it really work? One Mum shares her weight loss success story with Melbourne Mums Group.
Lite n' Easy - convenient, nutritious foods delivered to your door. Thousands of Australians choose Lite n' Easy as a way to lose or control their weight. You may have seen the ads and contemplated doing the same too? Although before you do, you've no doubt questioned whether Lite n' Easy really works?
We share one story told by a Melbourne mother who committed to a Lite n' Easy diet over a period of 18 months.
Hyla lives in Werribee. She lives with a chronic inflammatory condition, is a mother of a son with special needs and has struggled with her weight for years.
At 106 kilos she felt lethargic, unmotivated and kept making excuses not to lose weight. She ended up quite sick and in hospital, which really scared her.
"If something happens to me, who would look after my son?"- said Hyla.
Hyla chose Lite n' Easy because of its convenience and after losing 43 kilos, she hasn't looked back.
"I can't quite believe how far I've come. My initial weight loss goal was to reach 75 but now I weigh 63 kilos!"
Hyla - after
Due to her weight loss, Hyla is now able to dance and participate in aerobic exercise - something she hadn't tried prior to her weight loss journey.
Hyla's advice to other mums:
"I think the most important lesson for me was to love my body and accept its imperfections. Not every women is going to look like a model, especially after having a baby. I definitely didn't. Weight loss is hard, and it's Ok to be frustrated. I encourage any mum running after kids to give Lite n' Easy a try, it certainly made my weight loss journey easier. "
Is Lite n' Easy a diet or lifestyle option you have considered too? Perhaps Hyla's story has inspired you to give it a try? We'd love to hear from you.
