My Family Photo - Review

When was the last time you had your family photo taken?

I have taken thousands of photographs since my first child was born, but I can literally count on one hand, the amount of photos I've had with all four of our family members.

I needed to do something about it, as my oldest was already almost 4. Where does time go? I didn't have a lot of money - or time - to get professional photos done. At least that's what I thought.

On Tuesday July 30th, IKEA Richmond is hosting a Safer Life at Home workshop to educate us parents and grandparents to prepare for life with our little ones.
The Geelong Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.
This is why My Family Photo is becoming so popular. It is built on such a great foundation of short, inexpensive, outdoor photo sessions.

Instead of heading to a formal (expensive) indoor-studio, we had the opportunity to capture our children carefree and casual - exactly as they are.

My Family Photo offers short, 30-minute outdoor sessions, at beautiful locations; like St Kilda Botanical Gardens, Brighton Beach or Footscray Park.

Pricing is also very affordable. Packages include your choice of 15 edited images on USB, for only $165. This includes the 30 minute photo shoot.

Photographer, Kate Sheffield, is amazing. She really knows how to capture the moment and the personality of your children.

She is also incredibly patient and tolerant with stubborn children. My youngest refused to co-operate, insisting on going home and producing a fabricated frown every time we asked her to smile. Yet, Kate managed to capture some fantastic shots - you would never suspect how miserable she was on the day!

Thanks also to Kara, the brilliant bubble-blowing assistant who worked wonders with getting the kids to focus and sit still. For a few seconds anyway.

I received the initial photos, around 50, via email link and could select 15 to receive via USB.

Once I made my selection, which was hard to do because they were all so great, I received the USB just over a week later.

I highly recommend My Family Photo, their professionalism, friendliness and talent is truly amazing, especially considering the cost is so low.

You can also buy gift vouchers; what a perfect present that would make?
