Mother's Day is close. Do you have an idea of what you will might do to celebrate?

Whether you're looking for inspiration for yourself, your Mother or a special person in your life, there's a whole bunch of interesting Mother's Day Events to choose from in our beloved Melbourne.

There is no better place for children and teens to let their imaginations run wild these school holidays, than the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), which has holiday programs on offer.
The Geelong Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.

The Mothers Day Classic Fun Run at Alexandra Gardens and the Tan Track, Melbourne.

Now in its 27th year, the Mothers Day Classic Fun Run offers 4km and 8km walking and running courses for those who wish to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research.

Do you want to learn how to knit? Or have recently started and would like to meet some new friends to share your creativity with, all while having a good chat? Melbourne Knitting Club has classes for you.

Book in for a special Mother's Day High Tea at Melbourne Museum.

Held in the Museum's special Treetops function room overlooking Carlton Gardens, this impeccably styled lunch for Mum includes delicious sweet and savouries with sparkling wine and fresh juices for the kids.

Tickets for the Mother's Day High Tea at Melbourne Museum are $100/90 for adults, $43 for children. There are two session times to choose from on Sunday 13 May.

Treat Mum to a Breakfast or High Tea at Werribee Zoo.

On Sunday 13 May, Werribee Zoo will host two special events for Mother's Day.

Breakfast from 9:30am - 11am includes a buffet in the Meerkat Bistro, with hot and cold, sweet and savoury breakfast goodies, as well as tea, coffee and juice.

Mother's Day Breakfast at Werribee Zoo is priced at $70 adults, $35 children under 12yrs. Includes entry into the zoo.

Mother's Day High Tea at Werribee Zoo begins with bubbles on arrival for all the mums, followed by a buffet style function in the Meerkat Bistro. Food includes a selection of delicate treats and delicious savoury specialties, tea, coffee and juice.

Book Mum onto a Mindfulness Rock Mandalas Workshop in Doncaster, presented by Little By Nature and Eco Explorers Australia.

This special Mother's day rock mandalas workshop takes place at Currawong Bush park in Doncaster.

Connect with other mums, bring a friend or your own mum and create a nature rock mandala to take home.
