Becoming a parent means making endless choices about your children, family and work. You will likely even ask yourself many times “do I really want to go back to my old job?”

If you know the answer is no, or you are thinking about a new career or pathway back to the workforce, why not consider Australia’s rapidly growing IT sector? You don’t even need to have experience to get started!

Microsoft, in conjunction with MEGT, is offering an exciting career pathway for anyone looking for a new challenge, or to make a return to work. The February 2020 intake is now open.

The Microsoft Traineeship Program is open to anyone who want an exciting new career that pays well and provides challenging, varied work.

This could be the opportunity of a lifetime and Microsoft is looking for mums just like you!

Mum Emily Smith is a Microsoft trainee with Wink. Here is what Emily had to say about the program:

”I decided to pursue the traineeship whilst raising a 2-year-old. I thought it would be a great opportunity to gain on-the-job experience, study and gain a qualification.”

This is a paid traineeship for two years. During that time, you will earn as you learn, applying the skills and knowledge from your formal training to your daily work.

Trainees will be enrolled with TAFE and work towards a nationally accredited Certificate IV in Information Technology.

What you will receive from the traineeship:

Paid on-the-job experience within the Microsoft Australia network
A Certificate IV in Information Technology delivered by TAFE
Industry-recognised Microsoft Certifications, including a specialisation in Cloud Skills as part of the Azure Administrator Certification Track
A strong foundation in all aspects of IT and emerging technology and;
Expert support from MEGT, Microsoft Australia and TAFE every step of the way.

Apply online now!

As a Microsoft Trainee, you will be employed through MEGT’s Group Training Program, with MEGT your legal employer.

All trainees are placed with a host employer within Microsoft Australia’s network, and they will be responsible for your daily tasks, on-the-job training and development.

An exciting new career in IT awaits! For more information, check out the website and to apply, click here.
