Melbourne Little Explorers Club

by BecSorby (follow)
Get out and explore nature with your children while making new friends.

Nature is all around us - in our national parks, trails and our own backyards. It is there to be explored, embraced and cherished for generations to come.

Melbourne Little Explorers Club is a community of parents who want to get their young kids out and about, exploring nature all year long: rain, hail, or shine (you never know here in Melbourne!)

This is not a fast-paced hiking club, or a club aimed at discovering the next best playground. Little Explorers Club aim to encourage children to interact with nature, foster a love for the outdoors and become future advocates for the planet.

They want to teach children to value the outdoors by getting more kids out on local trails and open spaces, taking healthy risks and helping them grow their imagination and self esteem through interactions with nature.

Melbourne Little Explorers Club meets at least once a month, and pick different locations for the little ones to explore at their own pace each time they meet.

It is all about letting the kids lead the way, slowing down the pace of our busy lives and giving them the time to see what is happening in the nature around them. Think sitting in the dirt, watching ants crawl, splashing in the creek and letting their imaginations run wild.

Not only is a great way to encourage kids to learn more about the world around them and be more conscious of nature, Little Explorers Club lets you connect with like minded parents and their families throughout Melbourne.
