Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N in Federation Square

Thursday 15th of March to Sunday 15th of July

Should you take your children to the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N before the attraction closes in Melbourne?

With only a few weeks to go until the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N closes its doors in Melbourne, you may ask yourselves is it worth visiting with the kids?

Having taken our two 4 & 9 year olds to the exhibition last Friday, we're going to say yes; it is worth visiting with your (older) kids or those who are familiar with the Avengers.

Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N

We found our 9 year old got a lot out of the the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N, wanting to test all the interative games and immerse himself in all things superhero. He hasn't stopped talking about it since and wants to go again before the exhibition closes on 15 July.

Thor's Hammer

Our 4 year old however, found it a little overwhelming so didn't get into it as much as his older brother. Worth noting though that our 9 year old has seen (and enjoyed) a number of Avengers movies; whereas our 4 year old has not.

Key highlights:

Pose for a photo on Captain America's motorbike
Test your strength and attempt to life Thor's hammer (the Mjölnir) in the Thor Observatory
See how Bruce Banner transforms into The Hunk; watch how his brain turns green on an interative screen!
Step inside the suit of a virtual Ironman / Hulkbuster suit and participate in an interactive game.
Stop for a bite to eat or a milkshake in the Midtown New York style Diner (you don't actually need an entry ticket for the diner).

We spent an hour exploring the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Looking back, if we'd visited without M.4 we may have spent much longer exploring every little nook of the exhibition; there's a lot to see and do.

In summary we'd say yes do go to Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N with your kids before the attraction closes in Melbourne, particularly with final few weeks falling within the winter school holiday break.

That said, we'd probably suggest the age suitability for children would be around 8 years plus. Obviously every child is different and you know your own better than anyone, so if you feel your younger kids would enjoy the exhibit; go!

The Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N is a lot of fun and you won't get another opportunity to see it unless you visit the same attraction at its permanent home at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas!
