Telstra has switched on their direct line to the North Pole - connecting children nationwide to Santa’s Workshop until December 24.

Aussie kids can dial # HO HO HO (# 464646) for FREE from any of Telstra’s 14,500 payphones around Australia and enjoy the magical experience of speaking directly with Santa.

Santa will be happy to chat about all sorts of Christmas topics, from asking about the weather in the North Pole, to what the reindeer like to snack on before their big Christmas Eve adventure, and of course, have the opportunity to submit their wish list.

Dialling Santa from any payphone across the country offers an easy and completely cost-free way for kids to get their Christmas wish lists in. Plus, taking kids to a payphone to call Santa is a great way to teach them how to use and locate their nearest payphone in case of an emergency.

On the weekend of Saturday Dec 16 to Sunday Dec 17 for every call made to Telstra’s Free Calls to Santa hotline # HO HO HO (# 46 46 46), Telstra will donate $1 per call towards Christmas meals, toys and beyond for Aussies going through tough times in partnership with the Salvation Army (up to a pre-determined amount). This will help raise much-needed funds for the Salvos, who are seeing more Aussies than ever needing some support these holidays.
