Do you feel 100% confident in your personal makeup skills?
For many women, wearing makeup helps us to look great and to feel confident as we go about our days. It gives us the opportunity to have fun with different looks and colours and it can even change our mood. At least that's the theory – but for most of us, it's a routine that we have developed over the years based on what we have picked up along the way.
As we grow up, we learn from our mums, aunts, sisters and friends, as well as from YouTube bloggers and department stores who offer makeover experiences. However, as with any hobby or skill, applying makeup to create flawless looks requires skills, techniques and practice to get right and to feel confident in what's working for you.
Look Academy in St Kilda have created a 3 Hour Personal Makeup Mastery Class where you can enjoy 3 intensive hours of makeup discovery. The class provides a unique ‘hands-on’ learning experience in which you will learn personal makeup skills and how to apply them to yourself under the expert guidance of professional career makeup artists working in the celebrity, fashion, film and TV industries.
Whether you're looking to improve your application skills, learn new techniques or to discover new makeup products, this class covers all areas. It has been designed for women of all ages so it's perfect for friends, sisters, mother and daughters, or even your teenagers. So what exactly will you learn? Pucker up and let's begin!
During this 3-hour class, you will learn everything you need to know about great personal makeup and how to apply it to yourself.
The Makeup Artist leading the class will begin by showing you techniques on the model first, after which you will then try on yourself. The Makeup Artist will check in everyone individually to answer questions and to offer tips and tricks suited to you. Every participant's face begins as a blank canvas, and over the 3 hours, you'll gradually build up the techniques until you're amazed at what you've achieved!
You'll learn about:
The different types of makeup brushes and their uses. (A professional brush set is provided for use in class.)
The importance of skin preparation, including how to apply primer, foundation and concealer to achieve flawless skin. You'll also be personally colour-matched so that you know your exact shade. This makes all the difference!
How to frame your face by enhancing your eyes and shaping your eyebrows. You'll be taught every step in detail, from how to curl your lashes, to how to correctly apply eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara.
Blusher, bronzer and highlighter techniques for contouring and finishing your look. You'll LOVE creating that natural glow look.
Small class sizes of 8-12 to ensure personalised attention. It's a lovely atmosphere with everyone having fun and learning together.
At the end of the class, you'll leave with a fabulous new look that you did YOURSELF, along with Look Academy notes on what you've learnt so that you can keep on practicing.
