Little Warriors Yoga is Melbourne’s very first yoga studio for children! Until now, yoga has been primarily tailored towards adults, but that’s all about to change with the launch of Little Warriors, located in Albert Park.
The benefits of yoga are well known to those who practise often and include increased strength and flexibility, a clear mind, increased focus and stress reduction. Little Warriors Yoga has classes designed for kids aged from 3 to 12 years plus teen programs designed to assist with the extra stress of VCE. They also offer adults classes.
Each 45 to 60 minute class is themed to keep the kids engaged from start to finish, with music and props used to keep the class fun and entertaining while bestowing the deeper benefits of yoga to the children.
Classes feature plenty of physical movement, correct breathing techniques and age appropriate yoga postures that can improve flexibility and joint suppleness, as well as strengthen growing bodies.
At the end of each class, the children will practice age-appropriate relaxation and meditation techniques that will help them to feel refreshed, relaxed, confident and ready to take on the world!
Little Warriors Yoga has classes running during the week and on Sundays, with new classes added on a regular basis. They are currently taking enrolments for Term 4, and trial classes are available if you would like to bring your children along to have a go. They have casual drop in classes and term-long programs for the Mini Yogis (ages 3 to 5) and term-long programs for Little Warriors (ages 5 to 8) and Warriors (ages 9 to 12.)
