Hello Ladies, I lived in Pune, India before I moved to Melbourne about 10 years ago after getting married. My husband is from a very notorious place in India called Bihar. Kidnappings, murders, lootings are everyday incidence and his Uncle was recently attacked although he was very influential in the area. Now my husband wants to take the kids (6 year and 6 months old) in December. I have tried resisting but he gets really upset and threatens that he will cancel the trip and not let me go to my parents as well if I resist. My parents are at a very safe place in Pune. I am anyways too emotionally drained with a new baby and am really looking for a break which I can only get with my Mum. My husband is non-supportive emotionally or physically.
Has anyone faced a similar problem? Do we have any rights to legally restrict the kids from going to a dangerous place? Both my kids are Australian by birth. Thank you ladies for any help you can render. I am really distressed.
