A festival designed for kids to enjoy the great outdoors in Anglesea

The Kids Adventure Outdoors Festival in Anglesea is a weekend of fun designed to help get kids and families enjoy active, outdoors activities over two days each April.

We recently participated in the festival and really enjoyed our experience. The hardest part was choosing the activities in advance, particularly not knowing what to expect on arrival. There's so much for the kids to do.. sailing, canoeing, archery, hut building, geocaching, mountain biking, SUP lessons, rock climbing challenges and so much more.

The Geelong Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.
You and your family are invited to a Photography for Parents Workshop on Sunday 28th April 2019 at Fitzroy Gardens.
What I would say is, the festival is best suited to those children who are perhaps more agile or those who are a little older so they have more options to choose from.

Each set of activities is grouped in different locations, so it is quite important to have access to a vehicle to transport from one camp to another for the activities you are booked onto.

The entire weekend was a huge success for our boys who relished in all things outdoors. We went one step further by booking onto the accompanying camp experience.

At the time of writing, the Kids Adventure Outdoors (KAOS) Anglesea costs $100 per child per day which includes all activities but not food so you need to BYO or buy from the local strip of shops.
