Best kid-friendly winery on the Mornington Peninsula?

There is a demand for kid-friendly wineries in Victoria, and Green Olive at Red Hill has acknowledged this.

Green Olive at Red Hill

Green Olive at Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula, 1hr drive from the CBD, is advertised as a "whole farm experience." Olives, grapes, veggies and herbs are grown on the estate. Sheep, chickens and pigs are raised here too.

The Melbourne Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.

Rows of robust olive trees welcome you as you drive into the grounds of Green Olive at Red Hill. Park the car to walk down to the alfresco dining space where you are surrounded by sweeping views of the abundant grape vines.

What makes this vineyard differ from many others in the region, is the obvious extras to make this winery family-friendly.

There is a playground on site; in full view of the outdoor eating space plus an in-ground trampoline. There is also gated lake filled with ducks and sometimes other farm animals to see nearby.

The offerings at Green Olive at Red Hill are mainly tapas style eats. There is a kids menu with toasted sandwiches, a pasta dish and ice cream. Otherwise, there's plenty to eat from the main menu that the kids will love too. (The meatballs and sausages are always a hit for our kids)

Melbourne Crochet Club will host two very special kids crochet classes during the spring holidays that are perfect for children who would love to learn a new hobby.
