Week after week, you push your wheelie bins out and the collection trucks come to empty them the next day. Do you know what happens to the rubbish in the bins after that?

Here’s your chance to find out! Come and join us on a tour, guided by Greater Dandenong's waste education officer, to follow our garbage, food and garden waste on their journey.

On this tour, we will learn more about:

- Things that can and cannot go in the garden and food waste bins

- How food scraps and garden waste are turned into compost for use in Council's parks and gardens and our Victorian farmers

- Landfill process at a local landfill site

Please bring the following with you on this day out:
Light snacks and bottle of drink
Sturdy walking shoes

This event is free, however, registrations are required.
To register, go to the Booking Page . After registering, you will receive a confirmation of booking. Prior to the event, a follow-up reminder and tour itinerary will be sent out.

Note: Please arrive by 9.15am at Ross Reserve. We will depart at 9.30am.
