I always liked to play with make-up; sometimes too much. However, I never thought I'd be an Avon Rep! Maybe people were giving me hints, maybe not, but my friends and family kept buying me the perfume called "Far Away" by Avon.



I saw an ad in the newspaper one day, and although I was stuck without transportation and without a job, I knew I could peddle brochures on foot. That is exactly what I did.

Not only does Avon sell make-up, but clothes, shoes, purses, gifts, etc. Many people actually get excited to receive a brochure every other week.



When I sold Avon products, and my customers opened their little bags, you would have thought it was their birthday! I'd purchase little samples of products for them also. It was a rewarding experience.

I purchased Avon products, myself too and "Far Away" is still my signature scent. I would buy the cream-to-powder foundation, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, etc. I loved the dramatic look and Avon supplied that look.

If I would have had the transportation, I imagine I would have been more successful. I could have gone door-to-door to neighborhoods further from my home. Until Avon, I had never had any sales experience. When joining Avon, you become a business woman overnight. The experience is great, that said, you do need to put the work in. You can place it on your resume.
