Easter Egg Hunts in Melbourne 2018

When and where your kids can hunt for Easter eggs in Melbourne in 2018.

The Easter Bunny is hopping all the way to Melbourne soon, which means that Easter egg hunts are happening all over the city and into the suburbs.



To celebrate the impending chocolate feast, the following organised Easter egg hunts are happening toward the end of March and beginning of April, ready for your children to stock up on their very own little treats ahead of the Easter school holidays.

The Geelong Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.
You and your family are invited to a Photography for Parents Workshop on Sunday 28th April 2019 at Fitzroy Gardens.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Frankston Family Picnic.

The Easter Bunny has lost 30,000 eggs in Frankston and asks Melbourne children to BYO basket and hunt through the forest to retrieve them. Don’t worry, it’s finders keepers so if you do find chocolate eggs, they are all yours! As well as the Easter egg hunt, families are invited to enjoy themed activities, live entertainment and more:

Melbourne Easter Show

The 2018 Melbourne Easter Show held over the Easter long weekend in Cranbourne invites Melbourne kids to join in a giant Easter egg hunt (join age appropriate sessions) and meet the Easter Bunny.

The Melbourne Easter Show also offers activities, rides, exhibitors, fireworks and entertainment for the whole family.

Free entry into the grounds with plenty to see and do over the 4 day show, although you must buy tickets to the Easter egg hunt ($10) in advance.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt and Family Picnic at Werribee Park

The legendary Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt returns to Werribee Park for the 18th year in 2018. A whopping 400,000 Cadbury eggs are waiting to be discovered! But it isn’t all about the chocolate, there’s a carnival, pony rides, face painting and arts & crafts too.

*Be aware this event is always a sell-out therefore tickets may not be available at the time of publishing.

Easter Fun Day at Rippon Lea House & Garden

A fun family Easter day out in the beautiful grounds of the Rippon Lea Estate is sure to attract the Melburnians far and wide. Meet the Easter Bunny, Rippon Lea Bear and enjoy craft activities, outdoor games and tour the historic mansion once you’re done with your egg hunt.

The Great Luna Park Egg Hunt

On Easter Saturday and Sunday families are invited to take part in Luna Park’s eggciting Easter egg hunt. Collect eggs made with love in Australia by the master confectioner, Chocolatier.

The Great Luna Park Egg Hunt is split into age group 0-4, 5-8, 9-11 and 12 plus years.

The annual Giant Easter Egg Hunt at Chirnside Park, limited to 1,000 children, invites Easties to hunt for bucket loads of chocolates whilst enjoying free face painting, giant inflatables, a sausage sizzle, music and lots more.

This is a charitable event run by the Life Ministry Church.

Easter fun at the Tesselaar KaBloom Festival

Celebrate with a carnival of colour at the Tesselaar’s new KaBloom, Festival of Flowers, held on 30 March to 15 April 2018.

Festivities begin with the delicious Chocomania weekend (March 30 – April 2), with a visit from the Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunts and live entertainment daily with Cheek to Cheek and the Tracey Roberts Trio.
