Carrum Foreshore Playground is one of the best little beachside parks around.
It's small but this little play park has everything you could want for a child under 6 years.

The main attraction of Carrum Foreshore Playground is the little lighthouse, where kids can climb and pretend to be pirates looking out on to the waters of Port Phillip Bay!

We love the brightly coloured shelters & umbrellas that catch the light on sunny days, reflecting beautful rainbows onto the sandy floors.

The playground sticks to a "seaside" theme and has a decorated small cubby decorated with sea creatures. There's a little red play boat, a tea cup ride, swings and an obstacle course too.
Being that Carrum Foreshore Playground is literally right next to the beach, you can easily make a day of it.
There are cafes nearby so you can top up on your caffine fix otherwise BYO picnic and spend a whole day by one of the beach beaches in the bay. If you're after some shade, have lunch on one of the two picnic tables.

Carrum Foreshore Playground is tucked away although it is right next to the Carrum Lifesaving Club. Reach the beachside play park by car by turning into Old Post Office Lane from the Nepean Highway. You can't see the playground whilst driving so it's easily missed.
Look out for the little blue sign marked 'Beach Parking' just after the train station (if driving from the CBD). Car parking is free for the City of Kingston residents (for those with a free permit) otherwise parking is metered.
The playground is very close to Carrum train station (on the Frankston line) so you could walk to Carrum Foreshore Playground if you wanted to take public transport.
