Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see the rays from the setting sun bounce off the surface of the lake, while you sing your favourite Christmas tune? If that is what you like, come on down to Carols by the Lake. After a 2 year hiatus, it is returning to Coburg Lake Reserve, to wrap up the year in a community celebration like no other.

Gather your friends and family, pack your picnic mats and camping chairs, and join us by the lake, as we sing and enjoy this free festive season extravaganza.

The night’s program will be hosted by Sarah Ward and Lisette Wilkinson (from Brunswick Secondary College). They will introduce you to our local talents from Brunswick Secondary College and Merri-bek Community Band (formerly Moreland City Band) led by Musical Director, Jordan Murray. Also look forward to hearing from Michelle Nicolle, Oliver Clark, Angela Lumicisi and Gianni Marinucci. The stage program is Auslan interpreted by Auslan Stage Left.

When you arrive, stop by the Lions Club of Glenroy to pick up some candles and the night’s program and songbook. There will be some food and refreshments available for purchase

Please note that Carols by the Lake will be held at the Sound Shell. The car park along Lake Grove is closed and limited parking is available in surrounding streets. So do consider riding to the event along the Merri Creek Trail or come by public transport.
