This year, residents and neighbours of Greensborough are treated to a fantastic live carolling event at Greensborough War Memorial Park. It will be a fun one for the kids, and a treat to the ears for the adults.
Starting with pre-show entertainment at 5 pm, kids can busy themselves with craft activities, face painting and get your family’s free Santa photos, if you have not done so for the year.
Be sure to come early and put out your picnic blanket or camping chairs so you can get a great view of the big stage. Then head over to the food trucks to enjoy a delicious meal. Look forward to food such as Porcupine Eatery and their amazing pizza, Bao Melbourne with their Asian fusion flavours, Salt & Pepa Food Truck and freshly cooked calamari and get a taste of some beautiful Sri Lankan flavours with Tuka Tuka KothuRoti Man. For dessert, stop by Crêpes for Change and satisfy your sweet tooth.
On stage, Cookin' on 3 Burners will be opening for the event, and the night will be hosted by Denis Walter. After which, dance and sing along to the voices of performers such as Bobby Fox and Kylie Auldist. The Australian Children’s Choir and their angelic voices, as well as Diamond Valley Brass Band, will be there to grace the event too with their tunes. The young ones will love Celia Wordsworth, who is coming as Santa’s little helper. She will be joined by Frosty the Snowman and friends, and of course Santa too.
Download the
songbook to sing along!
While you are at the carols, why not take a stroll down Grimshaw Street and Main Street to enjoy the Christmas trees and Christmas decorations!
