Step aside CostCo, there's another (brilliant) reason to visit Docklands; an art gallery with a very unique difference.
ArtVo is Australia's first interactive 3D art gallery, a visual playground, which consists of over 100 pieces of artwork painted onto the walls of the 1950 sq metre space, which allows you to star in each masterpiece.
If you've been to the Trick Eye museum in Singapore or Phuket in Thailand then you will be familiar with the concept. If not, get ready for an amazing adventure!
You and your family are invited to a Photography for Parents Workshop on Sunday 9th September 2018 at Fitzroy Gardens.
Unlike other art galleries, which say look but don't touch, ArtVo is the complete opposite. The aim is for you to journey through each themed room, and position yourself onto each piece of 3D art. Stand, sit, lie down, touch, point.. do whatever you wish and take a snap with your smartphone.
Locate the small white circle that matches the piece of art you position yourself in front of, so that your companion can snap in the right spot on your (or their) smartphone. Each circle tells you whether to take the image horizontal or portrait.
Sometimes it's hard to see the 3D element of the artwork until you look through the lens of your smartphone camera, but when you do, your mind will be blown!
Ride on a magic carpet, climb bamboo with a panda, come face-to-face with a blank panther, or ride on a paper plane over Sydney. There are so many possibilities, you can spend an hour or two having the best fun!
