If you've yet to see the spectacular that is Aladdin - the Musical in Melbourne, you've got plenty more opportunities to do so now that the season has been extended, and will run right through till January 2018!

I'll put my hand on my heart and say Aladdin - The Musical is quite possibly the best musical I've ever seen..and I've seen a fair few.

The onstage adaptation of Disney's animated Arabian adventure of Aladdin follows the journey of an orphaned street boy (Aladdin), who falls in love with a princess (Jasmine).

Aladdin 'the chosen one' is matched with a magic lamp, and releases the Genie within it, who grants him three wishes. Aladdin uses his wishes to win the heart of his beloved princess, but of course things take an unexpected turn.

You are no doubt familiar with the story, although there are naturally a few changes to the on stage version.

Without giving too much away because you really must see this incredible performance for yourselves, Aladdin - the Musical is a glitzy extravaganza that is impossible not to love.

No expense is spared on the lavish set, costumes, lighting and sound (there's even fireworks on stage!).

The performances in Aladdin - the Musical are fabulous, particularly Michael James Scott who is the only American performer in the show and plays the Genie. James Scott is an outstanding performer, so incredibly funny and charismatic.

My 8 year old son and I saw Aladdin - the Musical together in April, yet he still talks about it today and keeps asking to go again. You know what? We might just do that!

Do yourselves a favour and book tickets to see Aladdin - The Musical ASAP, this is show you must see. Your kids will love it and so will you.
