I am 35 and have a 3.4 yo who stopped breastfeeding in Jan 2020 (a long time but was more comfort feeding post 2.5). I had noticed a sticky salty discharge from my breast and that was the main reason I stopped offering my breast.
I have noticed a swelling in my right armpit with no noticeable lumps. But upon reading a little more about self-breast examination online, I tried to squeeze my nipple and there was a drop of clear discharge and a drop of pale-colored discharge from my right breast. I am suffering from anxiety due to a lot of family and virus situations! This has added to it. I am otherwise healthy and fit. My maternal aunt had breast cancer 2 years ago and has survived to date with a lot of treatments.
I am not after medical advice but after experiences post-weaning (discharge, etc) and the possibility of breast cancer at 35? My period is due anytime now, so should I wait until I finish my period to see a GP or can I visit now. Also trying to avoid going to a GP or hospital at the moment unless absolutely necessary!
