Whether you are celebrating your toddler's birthday, hosting a party of your own, or organising a gathering at a pre-school centre, you need to keep the small party people happy!

The good news is, there are plenty of entertainment hire options available in Melbourne. From soft play hire to fire engines, we give you 5 toddler party ideas in Melbourne:

Tumbledays Soft Play Hire

Tumbledays

You and your family are invited to a Photography for Parents Workshop on Sunday 28th April 2019 at Fitzroy Gardens.
On Tuesday July 30th, IKEA Richmond is hosting a Safer Life at Home workshop to educate us parents and grandparents to prepare for life with our little ones.
Soft play packages are available to hire from Tumbledays. Suited to children between 6 months and 4 years, Tumbledays equipment includes the type of padded apparatus you usually find at indoor play grounds, such as blocks, tunnels, ball pits and play houses. Soft play hire with Tumbledays is set up for you, and packed away at the end of your hire session, meaning you can sit back and watch your little ones enjoy.

Nothing excites a young child as much as a fire engine complete with flashing lights and a siren. Why not organise a fire engine party with Firefighter Rob? Choose from a vintage fire truck or a modern engine to arrive at your party venue. The 45 minute booking comes with all the flashing lights and fire radio to hear all the action. Expect plenty of photo opportunities, too.

Giant Bubble Party with Waggle Dance

Giant Bubble Party

Melbourne based Waggle Dance organise unique experiences for kids. One such experience, which suit a toddler gathering, would be the Giant Bubble Party. The 45 minute bubble workshop teaches kids how to make bubbles up to 1 metre in diameter and more than 3 metres long. The bubble mixture used in the party workshop, makes special bubbles that aren't as fragile as your bog standard bubble-wand type, so they won't pop easily. Yay for no-pop bubble fun!

Jumping Castle Hire with the Toy Library

Did you know, Toy Libraries throughout Melbourne hire out bouncing castles?

You can borrow toys and equipment from toy libraries after you've paid your yearly membership. Such places are not-profit organisations and therefore only charge a small fee to join. Larger 'toys' available to hire, such as jumping castles, will incur insurance and bond fees, but still work out very reasonable. Other items you can hire from toy libraries include picnic tables and chairs, giant Lego blocks as well as ride-on bikes and cars.

Facepainting and Balloon Modelling with Paint N Sparkles

Balloon modelling for kids has progressed from a couple of retro dogs and sword or two, to all sorts of inflatable objects. Melbourne based Paint N Sparkles bring face paints and an assortment of balloons to your party for the kids to enjoy. Snakes, turtles, owls, and even jet packs are the go with Paint N Sparkles.
