This is one of the most iconic attractions in all of Melbourne. Visiting Luna Park is definitely one of the best things to do in Melbourne with kids. Walking through the giant moon mouth sets the mood for visitors. Once inside, you will enjoy all sorts of carnival games, rides and fun. While you are the park, make sure to take a ride on the Scenic Railway Roller Coaster, which runs along the outside of the park. The coaster is a real thrill ride, and it gives passengers lovely views of Port Phillip Bay.

Attend a Music Showcase

One of the greatest things about being in Melbourne is that it is a city that simply bursts with creativity. You will see it reflected everywhere you go. There are lots of great arts, music and cultural activities to enjoy. One of the best kids activities in Melbourne is attending a music showcase. Kids love music of all kinds, and there are regular music showcases featuring many kinds of music in the city to enjoy. There are even music showcases in the city where kids themselves can be the performers. These are particularly enjoyable to attend because kids will often get inspired to pursue music when they see how other children just like them can perform.

The best way to get kids to learn is to make it enjoyable. That is why spending the day at Scienceworks is one of the most amazing activities for kids in Melbourne. The many educational exhibits at this science museum will have children learning about science with joy. One of the highlights of a visit is touring the stars in the Melbourne Planetarium. Another is seeing the electricity flow in the Lightning Room. Your kids will have a blast and learn a lot at Scienceworks.

Play with the Animals

For kids who have spent their time growing up in urban areas like Melbourne, a great activity to enjoy with them is heading to Animal Land Children’s Farm. At this attraction, kids don’t just see the animals behind glass or fences. They get to enjoy the experience of a real working farm. They get to touch, play with, hold, ride and feed the animals. Your kids will sleep well after they spend a day running around Animal Land Children’s Farm and playing with the animals.
