I start out with buying for those I know whose birthdays are coming up in the next six months. I then look for other gifts with a difference for the flood of birthday invitations that land on our kitchen bench for the three G boys. Nothing beats being prepared, and you know that usually ten invites come at once!
As much as I like stocking up from my trusted retail outlets, I do like to find things that are a little different.
Through the wonders of Facebook, I was recently introduced to an online store called The Coffee Apple which sells a wide range of toys and gifts with a difference.
I was immediately drawn to the pocket money and chore charts they stock, as well as the wall clock to help kids learn the time.
So you can imagine how excited I was when I actually stumbled across the shop itself when I went to a local café in Ringwood East.
Thee G boys and I were immediately drawn in to what looked like a candy store of jaw dropping toys and gifts, including:
- Imaginative/pretend play
- Baby gifts
- Personalised gifts
- Trucks, cars and trains
- Handmade games and toys
- And so much more
Aside from the kids almost exploding with excitement, I couldn't look fast enough at everything that was on display. With shelves stacked from floor to ceiling with hundreds of products that are that 'perfect something' for my birthday boxes.
Needless to say, I am going back without the rugrats so I can browse more and purchase til my heart's content.
Started by a local mum of two, The Coffee Apple is a fabulous Aladdin's Cave of gifts with a difference for kids.
