How safe is creative newborn photography?

Two questions you may ask yourselves when you see the amazing imagery Emma puts together:

How does Emma produce such amazing work?
Are newborns safe in the photography process?

Safety is paramount with newborn photography, which is why, as you've probably gathered, Photoshop is used in Emma's creative process.

All newborn images that appear to be outside, are shot in Emma's in-hour studio first. The final image is then merged with a photograph Emma previously shot outdoors.

Emma is a Port Melbourne Mum-of-three, and understands how to work with babies. Her in-house studio has been designed to ensure no babies are put into harmful situations.

After studio newborn shots are chosen, the Photoshop process can take Emma anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour.

The necessities of booking your newborn photography shoot with EJM Photography

When you book in your newborn shoot with EJM Photography, you book in a 2.5 hour slot, although that depends on your baby.

Your newborn needs to be photographed before 12 days old, before he or she becomes too restless. You can book in your session prior to birth of your child by holding spot with EJM Photography on the month you are due.

When it comes to the actual booking and your baby has arrived, booking times are not limited, but are obviously advised to be completed prior to witching hour!

Pricing

You are looking at costs of $200 for a newborn shoot. Sibling and family shots can be included.

You then choose to purchase print products or digital shots at an extra cost.

You may wonder how Emma gained her impressive skills? She is mostly self taught, although she has completed workshops with well-known names in the maternity and newborn photography business.
