Tesselaar Tulip Festival 2016

With the warmer weather just round the corner, there is so much to look forward to.

One thing that should be on your social calendar is to get to the annual Tesselaar Tulip Festival.

Now in its 63rd year, this annual tradition of colour and culture is a perfect day out for all the family.

If the fields of tulips wasn’t enough to keep you amused, there’s plenty for the family to do including:

- Live entertainment
- Market stalls
- Themed weekends including Food, Wine and Jazz weekend and Turkish, Dutch and Irish weekends.

Every year, the festival dedicates two weeks during the September School holidays t children as part of their Childrens’ weeks. With free entry for kids to the festival, you will certainly get more than your value for money.

Entertainment includes:
- Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom
- Hoot and Hootabelle
- Mik Maks
- Fairy hunt
- Tractor rides
- Petting zoo
- Reptile zoo
- And more.

The Tesselaar Tulip Festival is open daily (10am – 5pm) during September 8 – October 4 at The Tesselaar Tulip Farm, 357 Monbulk Road, Silvan, Victoria.

The workshop will include Welcome, group demonstrations of silk painting, artefact burning and a talk by Judith Young on the protocols recognised by various Aboriginal communities.
