Take a trip down memory lane these school holidays and enjoy May Gibbs' classic Australia tale of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, live on stage at the Arts Centre Melbourne's Playhouse.

Snugglepot and Cuddlepie

This year happens to be the 100th year anniversary of Gibbs' first book Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, which still sells around 20,000 copies every single year.

You were no doubt exposed to Gibbs' characters, the Gumnut Babies decades ago, along with Professor Kookaburra, Mrs Faintail, Mr Frog, Mrs Snake, Mr Possum and Little Ragged Blossom.

Now you have the opportunity to introduce your children to the characters you met in your own childhood, only this time live on stage.

The production, adapted by Monkey Baa Theatre Company's Eva Di Cesare, Sandra Eldridge and Tim McGarry features beautiful costumes designed by Matthew Aberline.

"This charming new stage adaptation of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie looks set to be a hit.. stylish, inventive and cleverly designed... it exudes charm" - Sunday Telegraph.

Where: Arts Centre Melbourne, Playhouse, St Kilda Road
When: Sunday 17 September - Sunday 25 September, 2016
Tickets: From $26
