Matilda - The Musical

Last week I went to see Matilda the Musical with my family.
I can promise you this - if you are looking for a fantastic, energetic Musical with amazingly talented performers - then put Matilda on your list.

From the opening notes to the final curtain, you will be entranced by the energetic non-stop pace of some of the most talented child performers you are likely to see on stage.

They ooze professionalism that some adult performers can only dream about. They possess humour with great timing, beautiful voices, amazing dancing and acrobatic skills and finish the show with a delightfully skillful scooter scene.

It is hard to go past the standout performances of Nigel, Lavender and Bruce. And of course, the very talented lead of Matilda.

The adult performers will also delight you with their hilarious portrayals of the over-the-top Roald Dahl characters.

Undeniably, the star of the show is Mrs Trunchbull (played by the hilariously entertaining James Millar) the terrorising, terrifying school principal. His performance will guarantee to have you laughing from the depths of your soul.

The words and lyrics written by Tim Minchin, bring to life the much loved novel by Roald Dahl, ensuring it will be one of the best musicals that you will ever see.

This great show will appeal to the whole family. My 7 year-old niece loved it, and wished she could be on stage!

The Princess Theatre is the perfect venue, and easily accessible to public transport.

Matilda the Musical will be showing at the Princess Theatre until September.
