Koffee Bar - Monster Milkshake

by Lorraine A (follow)
Yesterday we visited Koffee Bar in Ferntree Gully for the kids very first Monster Milkshake. Admittedly, it may have been used as a bribe to entice my kids to walk 7km over some pretty steep terrain in the Dandenong Ranges.

Let's just say that every time one of the kids said "I want to stop for a rest", the other would point out that it would then take much longer to get their Monster Milkshake.... and the pace would suddenly increase!

I'm not recommending anyone do this on a regular basis, but it will sure get you a little bit of bargaining power for a once off.

A quick Google search for Monster Milkshakes in Ferntree Gully suggested Koffee Bar was one of the only places to get them from, so it made the decision of where to go easy.

From the roadside, Koffee Bar looks pretty boring to be honest. The interior on the other hand is on trend with dark painted walls, large black and white canvas prints, rustic timber tables, pendent lights, blackboards behind the counter, and some cute decorative items.

The food in the glass display cabinets looked really tempting, but we were just after one thing....Monster Milkshakes!

On the Monster Milkshake menu there was choc mint, caramel, rocky road and Nutella (all of which had much fancier names!).

The kids couldn't go past the Nutella Monster Milkshake, probably because I banned it in the house about 2 years ago as I would often find an empty jar and a dirty spoon!

We ordered ours to come without the whipped cream on top, which meant the chocolate brownie was served as a side instead of on top of the cream.

As you can see from the picture below, the Monster Milkshakes were a big hit!

Koffee Bar was a warm and welcoming cafe, and I'm sure we'll visit again soon to try out some more of the menu.
