Jazz for Kids at Melbourne International Jazz Festival (3-12 June)

Once every year, venues across our great city come alive with world class jazz performances in the International Melbourne Jazz Festival.

Whether you are a jazz enthusiast or simply just appreciate good music, there is something for everyone at this much sought after event.

The festival also appeals to the young and old with a few performances aimed primarily at its younger audiences.

Beat box and beyond
Sunday 5 June, 10.30am-12.30pm

Aimed at children aged 9-12 years old. This unique performance encourages the audience to go on a fun journey with vocal explorer and songwriter, Mal Webb, who will show you all the crazy sounds a face can make. Aimed at children aged 9-12 years old.

Tickets are $15 per child

Jazz-A-Bye Baby
Sunday 5 June, 10.00am & 12.00pm

Get down to the infectious grooves of Ethio-funksters Mister Ott.

This show is more than a toe tapper and will have the young and old dancing to the funky ethio-jazz rhythms.

Vocal Adventures
Sunday 5 June, 2.00pm-3.00pm

Join the playful performance of looping beatboxing instrumentalist, Mal Webb who joins forces with violinist and vocalist, Kylie Morrigan, as they make music that will delight young ears.

$10 per child children must be accompanied by an adult. At ArtPlay, Birrarung Marr (behind Federation Square)
