Escape Rooms In Melbourne

by kateG (follow)
Before a recent trip to the UK I was told by my friends that they had booked us in to an escape room experience for a bit of fun with a difference. Having never heard of this concept before I immediately took to the internet.

I soon found out that an escape room is basically a game of logic but with an added twist. The twist is that you are locked in a room for a certain amount of time, during which you need to work together to solve the clues and logical puzzles.

We were given 60 minutes in this particular room. With cameras around the room and a walkie talkie to contact the organisers to ask for clues, we were led in to ‘the room’ and locked in.

Start the clock…Not one to shy away from a challenge, I was quite excited about this new experience.

Thankfully, I surround myself with logical thinkers and after a lot of head scratching and problem solving we escaped from the room with only three minutes to spare. Although if the truth be known we were given a few clues by the organisers!

It was such a great experience that no sooner had I arrived back in Australia, I searched all the escape room options. Believe it or not, they are dotted around the city.

So if you and your family fancy an outing with a difference then why not check out the escape rooms that Melbourne has to offer. It will certainly test the family boundaries as to who is the most logical thinker of you all. Good luck!
