Due to the number of repeated questions we see in our Closed Melbourne Mums Group on Facebook, we saw an opportunity to create Useful Lists for Melbourne parents in our community hub.

This is the second useful list in our series, in which we asked YOU for your child friendly restaurant recommendations in Melbourne.

South & South Eastern Suburbs

Zagamis Berwick Bistro food in a modern complex with a kids' playground.

Caffe Panette. Next to South Melb Market.

"They're always really kind to my toddler and have a bucket with little toys. High chair available. Downside is they don't actually have a nappy change in the toilet and the place is too small for prams. It is cosy though and they have a nice terrace." MMG Member

Friends of Mine Richmond, next to Burnley station.

"Plenty of space between tables for prams, booster seats and pencils for drawing on the tablecloths. No kids menu but really yummy food." MMG Member

Jerry's Milkbar Elwood

"Undercover outdoor fenced play area with toys, heaters, highchairs, kids menu, good food." MMG Member

Jimmi Jamz Elwood.

"Fenced area with cubby house but mainly suitable for kids that can climb a ladder. Dog friendly also. Decent pizza. Play area open til 6pm." MMG Member

Brighton Schoolhouse

"Large area outside with small fenced play area with swing, slide etc and large lawn on the other side to run around on. Inside blackboard and books. Good food, had kids menu. Highchairs. " MMG Member

Nature Boy Murrumbeena

"Great fenced heated courtyard with cubby, rideons, toys etc. Good food, kids menu." MMG Member

Iron Henry Murumbeena

"Upstairs kids room with great aircon and heating with a toy and book corner. Highchairs." MMG Member

Big Boy BBQ.

"Good food, not very pram friendly but possible, change table in disabled bathroom so unisex." MMG Member

Cafe Del Mar Carnegie

"Great gated outdoor play area with ride-ons etc." MMG Member

Las Chicas Balaclava.

"Not pram friendly but great food, colouring and high chairs." MMG Member

Planet Kids South Melbourne

"More the other way around; a playground with a cafe. Also 'grown up' cafe attached called "Ciel" with lots of space for prams". MMG Member

Chelsea Heights Hotel

"Has pretty much a play centre in the restaurant." MMG Member.

Longbeach Hotel Chelsea

"Has a play area that is clean. On weekends there is a children's entertainer like balloon animal maker and face painter, etc." MMG Member

Western Suburbs

The Brook on Sneydes Point Cook.

"Great menu for kids only $9.50 including a beautiful healthy meal with choice veggies or salad plus 2 drinks and choice or cake or ice cream. Great play area too." MMG Member

Northern Suburbs

Birdie Num Nums Fitzroy.

"Heated fenced large courtyard with sandpit, toys, ride-ons etc. Good food, highchairs." MMG Member
