Book Review: Your Parents are Cool

by Jacq_ (follow)
Writer, mum. Coffee lover @familydaytrippers
Your parents are cool, is a humorous picture book for "grown-ups" (think Go The F**k To Sleep) that reflects on what life was like before kids, and how it has subsequently changed since.

The endless nights partying until the sun comes up, are now replaced with feeding, burping and changing nappies on repeat, until you can't tell if the sun is coming up or going down.

Told in rhyming verse, the words will resonate with most parents and have you nodded along, chuckling to yourself as you are flooded with memories of your childless past.

On each thick, glossy page, modern drawings in soft palettes, stand out from the white background.

Author, Guilia Ferrari, has captured the essence of remembering what you have given up in order to have your 'new V.I.P', and everything gained because of it.

It is also a good reminder that just because you may not still do the things that you used to perceive were cool to do; you are still cool, you just didn't know what cool was until you had a baby!

Your parents are cool would make a great gift for new parents, and is available to purchase now.

RRP: $24.99
