Australian Made Gifts With A Difference: Made Locally (Ringwood)

by kateG (follow)
It’s fair to say that Mumma G is not the most enthusiastic of shoppers, in fact, I would rather happily stick pins in my eyes than scour the shops ‘just because’.

I do, however, like to shop with purpose and enjoy nothing more than getting everything I want from one shop in less than an hour (possibly add a further 30 minutes for a celebratory coffee!).

I also like to find something that is a little bit different for the people I am buying for and recently stumbled across a gem of a shop in a small local shopping centre.

Made Locally is a shop stacked from ceiling to floor with handmade gifts, better still everything is Australian made. Trust me, it has something for everyone. Aptly named, the shop only stocks top quality arts and crafts from Australian talent.

With anything from woodwork, jewellery, candles, knitwear and so much more, it’s an Aladdin’s cave of unique Australian gift ideas. There are gifts for all ages, including a section of the shop devoted solely to babies and kids.

Mumma G recently popped in for a quick mooch around and walked out with purchases. I have also ear marked some things for upcoming birthdays and even Christmas for my friends overseas. My kind of shopping. Oh and to complete the experience there is a choice of cafes nearby too!

Colleen Dadswell has always enjoyed being creative. She came up with the idea of Made Locally to help showcase home grown talent. She is very passionate and her shop now boasts a large number of suppliers from around Australia.
