Abracadabra – WIN family tickets to Melbourne Magic Festival (Northcote)

by kateG (follow)
For years, The Melbourne Magic Festival has been wowing crowds of all ages with timeless magic tricks through to illusions that will leave any magic skeptic scratching their heads.

Now in its eighth year, the annual magic festival is setting up to be one of the best yet.

For 13 days, the festival will give Melburnians the chance to be delighted by world class magical performances, as well as up and coming magic stars.

The festival has something for everyone including a wide choice of kid and family shows for those who love a little bit of magic in their lives – find me a kid who doesn’t!

This winter school holidays, why not take the kids on a magical day out? For any budding young magicians, there are also magic classes and workshops for kids.

Some of the favourite family shows include:

This Is Magic (4-8 July)- You’ll see a girl LEVITATE right before your eyes! Internationally Award Winning magician Tim Ellis presents his most requested illusions. Plus many more astonishing, interactive and original routines including a never before seen card trick that will leave you gasping

Learn To Fly With Domino (27-30 June & 1 July) Join one of Melbourne’s favorite children’s magicians, Domino the Entertainer, on a wacky and wild adventure on his quest to learn to fly! This show is full of hilarious and mind-boggling magic, sidesplitting comedy and skillful juggling, and features a handful of other cheeky characters that Domino meets along the way!

Tricky Nick Is A Super Bad Guy (4-9 July) Tricky Nick the Magician wants to be a super villain.
That’s right, Australia’s trickiest trickster is going to use his magic powers for evil…unless you come stop him. Come dressed as a superhero and see this very good magician become a very bad guy.

Make Your Parents Disappear (27-30 June & 1-2 July) Would you like to go to Magic School?
Alex and Luke already do. They spend their days learning marvellous magic instead of boring long division. But even at magic school they can’t escape the one thing that annoys kids everywhere – homework!

Alex and Luke need your help to pull off the ultimate magical feat, to put an end to homework once and for all. Come and help them make their parents disappear!

The festival will run from 27 June until 9 July, 2016. Ticket prices start from $10. Under 2 are free, as long as they sit in a parent’s lap.
