Live theatre brings families and friends together. There's something magical about going to the theatre, and one that should be shared and enjoyed with your children.

When Christmas festivities are nothing more than a memory for another year, school holidays really start to kick in. Why not treat your kids to a live show in January, and book tickets to the theatre.

Here are 5 live Melbourne shows to treat the kids to this summer:

Three Little Pigs at Arts Centre Melbourne

Arts Centre Melbourne presents the well known classic fairy tale of the The Three Little Pigs. The curly tale has been adapted to appear live on stage, which premiered at Palace Theatre in the West End in August 2015.

The actor playing the role of ‘Grizabella’ is played by Delta Goodrem. CATS opened on 18 December and will run until 24 January 2016.
